Day 23: Juzz 23
People of Hell & Heaven
Surah Az‑Zumar — Last Part (Verses 71–75)
Below are the final verses of Surah Az-Zumar with the Arabic Qur’anic text, full English translation, and key lessons.
⸻
Verse 39:71
Those who disbelieved will be driven to Hell in groups. When they arrive there and its gates are opened, its keepers will say:
“Did messengers not come to you from among yourselves, reciting to you the verses of your Lord and warning you about the meeting of this Day?”
They will say, “Yes, they did.” But the decree of punishment had come into effect against the disbelievers.
⸻
Verse 39:72
It will be said:
“Enter the gates of Hell to remain there forever.”
How evil is the dwelling place of the arrogant.
⸻
Verse 39:73
And those who feared their Lord will be led to Paradise in groups. When they arrive and its gates are opened, its keepers will say:
“Peace be upon you! You have done well, so enter it to dwell forever.”
⸻
Verse 39:74
They will say:
“All praise is for Allah who has fulfilled His promise to us and made us inherit the land so we may settle in Paradise wherever we wish.”
How excellent is the reward of those who worked (righteously).
⸻
Verse 39:75
You will see the angels surrounding the Throne, glorifying and praising their Lord. Judgment will be made between them in truth, and it will be said:
“All praise is for Allah, the Lord of all worlds.”
⸻
