Taraweeh Reflection 29
Day 29 Juzz 29
Feed the Poor Without Desiring Thanks or Gratitude
These passages highlight sincerity, patience, and the rewards of the righteous.
⸻
🌙 1. The Essence of Sincerity (Ikhlāṣ)
(76:8–9)
And they give food, in spite of their love for it, to the needy, the orphan, and the captive,
[saying], “We feed you only for the sake of Allah. We desire from you neither reward nor thanks.”
Reflection: عبادات done purely for Allah—no recognition, no return—this is the قلب of sincerity.
⸻
🌙 2. The Inner State of the Righteous
(76:10–11)
Indeed, we fear from our Lord a Day austere and distressful.”
So Allah will protect them from the evil of that Day and give them radiance and joy.
Reflection: A قلب that fears Allah is gifted tranquility and light on the Day of Judgment.
⸻
🌙 3. Patience Rewarded with Paradise
(76:12)
And He will reward them for what they patiently endured with a garden [in Paradise] and silk.
Reflection: Every hardship endured for Allah is not lost—it is transformed into eternal comfort.
⸻
🌙 4. A Glimpse of Jannah
(76:13–14)
Reclining therein on adorned couches. They will not see therein any [burning] sun or freezing cold.
And near above them are its shades, and its [fruit] to be picked will be lowered in compliance.
Reflection: Jannah is a place of perfect balance—no discomfort, only ease and closeness.
⸻
🌙 5. The Ultimate Reminder
(76:29–30)
Indeed, this is a reminder, so whoever wills may take a path to his Lord.
And you do not will except that Allah wills. Indeed, Allah is ever Knowing and Wise.
Reflection: Guidance is offered—but قبول (acceptance) requires humility before Allah’s will.
