DAY 1 | JUZ 1
Qur’an Invites To Humility & Guidance
Juz 1 opens with Surah Al-Fatiha, the powerful opening of the Qur’an — a surah we recite in every unit of prayer. At its heart is a plea that defines our relationship with Allah:
اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ
“Guide us to the straight path.”
🌿 Core Lessons
• Guidance begins with humility. We admit we don’t know everything except that which Allah informs us.
• Guidance begins with acknowledgment. We admit that we cannot find success without His guidance.
• Ramadan begins with dependence. Before self-discipline, there is surrender to the One and Only power worthy of worship.
• Ramadan is the month of power. A blessed month when we not only ask for knowledge — but we also ask for the strength to follow it.
This verse reminds us that guidance is not a one-time gift. It is a daily need. We ask for it 17 times everyday when we pray our daily prayers. In the month of Ramadan we ask more often and in one sitting of Taraweeh prayer we ask for guidance at least 20 times. Even the most righteous believers repeat this duʿā’ constantly.
🤲 Reflection
Where do I need direction/guidance most right now?
• A decision I’m avoiding?
• A habit I need to change?
• A relationship that needs repair?
• My consistency in worship?
Be honest. Guidance enters the heart that admits its need.
✅ Action Step
• Repeat this duʿā’ consciously after every salah today.
• Act on at least one truth you already know but haven’t applied.
• Ask Allah for clarity before making any important decision.
Ramadan is not just about fasting from food — it’s about aligning the heart with the Straight Path.
May this month begin with sincerity, humility, and true guidance.
